Do I need a visa to visit Bali in 2026?
Most nationalities can enter Bali with a Visa on Arrival (VOA) for 30 days (IDR 500,000). This can be extended once for an additional 30 days. For longer stays, you will need a B211 social visa, digital nomad visa, or a KITAS permit.
How long can I stay in Bali as a tourist?
With a VOA, up to 60 days (30 + 30 extension). With a B211A social visa, up to 180 days (60 + extensions). The digital nomad visa (E33G) allows up to 1 year. For permanent residency, the Second Home Visa offers 5 years.
What is the Bali tourist levy / tourist tax?
Since February 2024, all international visitors to Bali must pay a one-time IDR 150,000 (~USD 10) tourist levy. This can be paid online before arrival or at the airport. Our VIP airport service includes assistance with this payment.
What happens if I overstay my visa in Bali?
Overstaying carries a fine of IDR 1,000,000 per day (max 60 days). Beyond 60 days, you face detention and deportation with a ban on re-entry. If you are at risk of overstaying, contact us immediately — we can help with emergency extensions.
